Carson returns to his Alma mater, Yale, to meet with the five 2012 Carson Scholars, who excel based on their academic excellence and humanitarian qualities.
It’s always great to be back particularly at a time like this when we can honor those young people who worked so very hard to achieve this distinction Anybody who can win one of these can do virtually anything.
Ringling tour
Parkinson Cafe members receive a docent-led tour of the Ringling Art Museum, which hosts the largest Baroque art exhibit outside of New York City. After lunch at the Banyon Cafe, the group shared stories on the Ringling mansion terrace.
Wears paper bag at premiere
LaBeouf walks the red carpet of the Berlin premiere of Nymphomaniac while wearing a brown paper bag over his head reading, “I am not famous anymore.” According to sources, the actor appeared thinner and a missing bottom tooth which he had shaved down for his role in Fury.
Sarasota Ballet visit
As part of the Cafe’s Cultural Arts Series, people with Parkinson’s disease and their care partners enjoy a back-stage tour of the Sarasota Ballet. Ballet representatives educate the group about the Sarasota Ballet’s accomplishments and plans. A docent shows the group where the costumes and sets are made, the dancers rehearse and other behind-the-scenes rooms. At noon the group participates in a PD in Motion class at the Sarasota Ballet’s Lemon Street studio. This innovative program was developed in collaboration with the Mark Morris Dance Group, Brooklyn, NY Dance for PD program in partnership with The Sarasota Ballet and the Sarasota Manatee Dance Alliance.
Beyonce, Solange attend Rowland wedding
Although there are reports that the sisters aren’t currently speaking to each other, Solange and Beyonce fly to Costa Rica in order to attend Kelly Rowland’s wedding.

‘The Walk’ sneak peek image
Gordon-Levitt gives the public a sneak peek of his new upcoming movie, The Walk on his official Facebook page. Directed by Robert Zemeckis, the film is based on the Oscar-winning documentary, Man on Wire, which tells the story of French high-wire artist Philippe Petit and his death-defying tightrope walk between the World Trade Center Twin Towers in 1974. Also starring Sir Ben Kingsley, James Badge Dale, and Charlotte Le Bon, the film is set to be released in October, 2015.
