First interview as Miss Universe 2015
Wutzbach officially starts her reign appearing on ABC’s Good Morning America. She talks about the controversial announcement mix-up and her thoughts on sharing the crown.
I think it would be a little bit difficult for two girls to share a crown, but I have high hopes that this will give great opportunities for me and Miss Colombia and the rest of the contestants.
GMA interview
Davis is interviewed on Good Morning America.
I’m just a normal person that has been touched by the grace of God, and his mercy…I’m good at my job. I have friends who are gay and lesbians. They know where I stand. And we don’t agree on this issue, and we’re OK because we respect each other…I can’t put my name on a license that doesn’t represent what God ordained marriage to be… What people say about me does not define who I am. That’s everybody’s opinion and that’s everybody’s right…What probably hurt me the worst is when someone tells me that my God does not love me or that my God is not happy with me, that I am a hypocrite of a Christian.
Apologizes for racial slur
Hogan apologizes on Good Morning America, for calling his daughter’s boyfriend a “nigger”.
I’m not a racist but I never should have said what I said. It was wrong. I’m embarrassed by it…If anybody should have disowned me it should have been her,’ said Hogan. ‘I was upset about something that happened between her and her boyfriend…Please forgive me.
He says he was suicidal:
I was to the point where I wanted to kill myself, you know? I was completely broken and destroyed and said, ‘What’s the easiest way out of this?’ I mean, I was lost. I’ve worked for the WWE for almost 30 years off and on… and then all of a sudden, everything I’ve done my whole career and my whole life was like it never happened.
Hogan also says he inherited racial bias from growing up in Port Tampa
People need to realize that you inherit things from your environment. And where I grew up was south Tampa, Port Tampa, and it was a really rough neighborhood, very low income. And all my friends, we greeted each other saying that word…I would say that is very fair [that I inherited a racial bias]. ‘I think that was part of the culture and the environment I grew up in and I think that’s fair to say.
Move Live Tour
The siblings announce their More Live On Tour on ABC News Good Morning America. The tour will include dance numbers and celebrity appearances. Julianne:
Last year we said it was a rock concert for dance and this year it’s going to just be a bigger rock concert for dance. Our whole goal behind it is that the way that you move directly affects the way that you feel, so we get out in the audience. We bring people up on stage. We’re singing we’re dancing!
On air apology
Stephanopoulos apologizes live on Good Morning America:
Over the last several years, I have made substantial donations to dozens of charities, including the Clinton Global Foundation. Those donations were a matter of public record. But I should have made additional disclosures on-air when we covered the foundation and I now believe directing personal donations to that foundation was a mistake. Even though I made them strictly to support work done to stop the spread of AIDS, help children and protect the environment in poor countries, I should have gone the extra mile to avoid even the appearance of a conflict. I apologize to all of you for failing to do that.
Runs for President
Fiorina announces her candidacy for president on Good Morning America, becoming the first declared female candidate to seek the Republican Party’s nomination.
Yes, I am running. I think I’m the best person for the job because I understand how the economy actually works. I understand the world; who’s in it.
She also criticizes Hillary Clinton saying she is “clearly is not trustworthy.”
She has not been transparent about a whole set of things that matter.
A video posted on her campaign website, carlyforpresident.com, starts with a shot of Fiorina watching Clinton’s campaign announcement video.
If you’re tired of the sound bites, the vitriol, the pettiness, the egos, the corruption; if you believe that it’s time to declare the end of identity politics; if you believe that it’s time to declare the end of lowered expectations; if you believe that it’s time for citizens to stand up to the political class and say enough, then join us.
