Herb Alpert is an American musician born in 1935 in Los Angeles, California. He mostly known for his band Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass. His biggest hits include The Lonely Bull, A Taste of Honey, Zorba the Greek, Casino Royale, What Now My Love, Diamonds, and Rise. In his career, he was earned multiple Grammy Awards, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a National Medal of Arts Award, and a Tony Award. In 2006, he was elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Alpert has three children and is married to singer Lani Hall.

Alpert wins Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Album for Steppin’ Out. This is Alpert’s ninth Grammy.

 I started playing on it, and it really worked. It took this funky, electronic sound and put some elegance on it. Great combination.
