Putin ‘responsible for MH17 crash’
Clinton says that Vladimir Putin bears responsibility for the crash of Malaysian Airline flight MH17.
I think if there were any doubt it should be gone by now, that Vladimir Putin, certainly indirectly — through his support of the insurgents in eastern Ukraine and the supply of advanced weapons and, frankly, the presence of Russian Special Forces and intelligence agents — bears responsibility for what happened.
‘Interventionism created ISIS’
Paul criticizes Clinton’s foreign policy in a Wall Street Journal op-ed, saying that interventionism led to the rise of ISIS:
To interventionists like former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, we would caution that arming the Islamic rebels in Syria created a haven for the Islamic State. We are lucky Mrs. Clinton didn’t get her way and the Obama administration did not bring about regime change in Syria. That new regime might well be ISIS.
He adds:
[…] Those who say we should have done more to arm the Syrian rebel groups have it backward. This is not to say the U.S. should ally with Assad. But we should recognize how regime change in Syria could have helped and emboldened the Islamic State, and recognize that those now calling for war against ISIS are still calling for arms to factions allied with ISIS in the Syrian civil war.
Defends private email use
In a press conference Clinton says she used a private e-mail account to conduct State Department business for “convenience”. She says she has released more than 27,500 emails (from a total of 62,320) that involved official government e-mail addresses, such as those addressed to .gov addresses, names of government officials and Clinton’s staff, but also for terms including “Benghazi” and “Libya.” 31,830 e-mails were deemed personal and deleted. She said she did not discuss classified information on her personal e-mail.
I opted for convenience to use my personal email account, which was allowed by the State Department, because I thought it would be easier to carry just one device for my work and for my personal emails instead of two…Looking back it would have been better to use separate phones and two separate e-mail accounts. I thought one (mobile) device would be simpler. Obviously, it hasn’t worked out that way…I have no doubt we have done exactly what we should have done.
Clinton said she “chose not to keep” personal e-mails:
No one wants their personal e-mails made public and I think most people understand that and respect that privacy.
When asked about the impact of the controversy on whether she will run for President:
I trust the American people to make their decisions about political and public matters and I feel that I’ve taken unprecedented steps to provide these work-related emails, they’re going to be in the public domain, and Americans will find that interesting and I look forward to having that discussion.
‘Wiped email server clean’
Gowdy claims that Clinton wiped her email server clean and refuses to turn it over to an independent third party for investigation.
Not only was the secretary the sole arbiter of what was a public record, she also summarily decided to delete all emails from her server ensuring no one could check behind her analysis in the public interest.
Will announce presidential run on Sunday

During a press conference in Panama at the Summit of the Americas, Obama talks about Clinton as next President:
She was a formidable candidate in 2008, she was a great supporter of mine in the general election, she was an outstanding secretary of state, she is my friend, I think she would be an excellent president.
Asked whether he hopes she campaigns on his record:
I’m not on the ballot. So I’m not going to step on her lines. When she makes a decision to announce, I’m confident that she will be very clear about her vision for the country.
Wants Supreme Court to favor gay marriage
Clinton wants the Supreme Court to rule in favor of legitimizing same-sex marriage to establish full equality for gay couples on a national basis. Spokesperson:
Hillary Clinton supports marriage equality and hopes the Supreme Court will come down on the side of same-sex couples being guaranteed that constitutional right.
Cites donor transparency
The Clinton Foundation says its disclosure of foreign donations is “stronger than ever.” Acting CEO Pally says the foundation will only accept donations from “a handful of governments.”
When Hillary Clinton was appointed Secretary of State, we took unprecedented steps to avoid potential conflicts of interest by going above and beyond what is required of any philanthropy and instituted voluntary annual disclosure of all donors on our website.
Pally also pushes back at specific criticism of donations linked to Giustra and a charity he established. Pally stresses that the charity is independent, and that Giustra established it in Canada so that Canadians could receive a tax credit for their donations to support the Clinton Foundation.
But as it is a distinct Canadian organization, separate from the Clinton Foundation, its individual donors are not listed on the site. This is hardly an effort on our part to avoid transparency — unlike in the U.S., under Canadian law, all charities are prohibited from disclosing individual donors without prior permission from each donor.
Pally admits mistakes
In response to charges of conflict of interest in Schweizer’s forthcoming book Clinton Cash, the Clinton Foundation admits that it made “mistakes” as the philanthropy grew but maintains that it did not intentionally do anything wrong.
Yes, we made mistakes, as many organizations of our size do, but we are acting quickly to remedy them, and have taken steps to ensure they don’t happen in the future.
Schweizer says that he did not have “direct evidence” of ethical misconduct, but says the pattern he uncovered should raise eyebrows and trigger an investigation.
‘Baltimore is burning’
Clinton reacts to the Baltimore riots.
It is heartbreaking. The tragic death of another young African-American man. The injuries to police officers. The burning of peoples’ homes and small businesses. We have to restore order and security. But then we have to take a hard look as to what we need to do to reform our system.
Criticizes Clinton immigration proposal
Graham strongly opposes Clinton’s proposal to expand President Obama’s offer of deportation relief to undocumented parents of children brought to the U.S. illegally.
What she’s doing is ensuring a third wave of illegal immigration. I think there’ll be a backlash in this country.
‘I like Hillary Clinton’
Sanders denies that he would be a “spoiler” for the electoral chances of the establishment favorite:
Maybe I shouldn’t say this: I like Hillary Clinton.
Sanders asks if the media would “allow us to have a serious debate?”
Or is the only way you get media attention by ripping apart somebody else?
Iraq war vote ‘a mistake’
On the subject of her vote in favor of the Iraq war Clinton states:
I made it very clear that I made a mistake, plain and simple. And I have written about it in my book, I have talked about it in the past. What we now see is a very different and very dangerous situation.
Announces first ‘big event’
Clinton’s campaign tweets that she will hold “the first big event” of her 2016 presidential campaign on June 13.
Get excited: Hillary will be making her official campaign announcement speech at the first big event of her campaign on June 13th.

We have a sacred responsibility to those who serve and sacrifice for this country–today we remember and honor the values they fought for.

‘Proud’ to celebrate ruling
Clinton says she is celebrating the Supreme Court’s decision on gay marriage.
Proud to celebrate a historic victory for marriage equality—& the courage & determination of LGBT Americans who made it possible. -H

Clinton ‘worst secretary of state’ in history
Trump says Clinton is “the worst secretary of state in the history of our nation.”
The world blew up around us
He aslo criticizes her stance on immigration:
[She’ll] let everybody come in… killers, criminals, drug dealers…Hillary’s weak on immigration. I might be divisive on immigration, but she’s weak on immigration, which is far worse…If you listen to Hillary, she is so weak on immigration, we will have a crime rate like you’ve never seen.
Defends Planned Parenthood
Clinton defends Planned Parenthood, which has faced recent criticism for a video made by anti-abortion activists that alleges the group’s clinics are illegally selling tissue from aborted fetuses for profit, a charge the group denies. Clinton condemns the recent backlash as another effort to chip away at a woman’s right to a legal abortion. She calls the video footage, which shows an official from the group discussing the price of providing fetal parts, the latest effort of a years-long “concerted attack” against “a woman’s right to choose.”
Planned Parenthood has apologized for the insensitivity of the employee who was taped. And they will continue to answer questions for Congress and others.
‘Never sent classified information’
Clinton says she did not send classified emails from her private server while she was secretary of state.
I am confident that I never sent nor received any information that was classified at the time it was sent and received.
Clinton says has no idea what are the four specific emails the inspector general us talking about in his letter to Congress.
But the facts are pretty clear. I did not send or receive anything that was classified at the time. The vast majority of anything that I sent or received was already on the State Department system, the unclassified State Department system. In order to respond to freedom of information requests, you’d have to go through the same process.
Calls Weiner ‘worst deviant in U.S.’
Trump claims Abedin has access to Clinton’s emails and that her husband, Weiner, is a deviant.
So think of this – Hillary is giving confidential, top-of-the-line secrets to Huma, who has all her information. Because everything goes through Huma – she has everything – who’s telling her husband, who’s a deviant and now works for a public relations firm…The person seeing her [Clinton’s] emails more than anybody else is Huma. And who’s Huma married to? The worst deviant in the United States of America, right? Weiner!
General Petraeus, his life has been destroyed over a tiny fraction of what she [Clinton] did. He didn’t burn his hard drive. He didn’t get rid of the emails. He told somebody about it, but he didn’t get rid of them. It’s criminal! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. It’s criminal!
