The piece is intended to draw attention to Hollywood’s hidden problem of drug addiction that effects hundreds of people in the showbiz industry and is largely ignored until the death of a high profile A-list celebrity.
Hollywood Walk of Fame star vandalized
Cosby’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star is defaced when the word “rapist” is written across it three times in dark ink. Crews work to repair the vandalism. Hollywood Chamber of Commerce statement:
The Hollywood Walk of Fame is an institution celebrating the positive contributions of the inductees. When people are unhappy with one of our honorees, we would hope that they would project their anger in more positive ways then to vandalize a California State landmark. The star is being cleaned up at this time.

The Hollywood Chamber had placed a star for the director previously, but due to his illness, Bertolucci could not make the ceremony.
