Trinity Scholar

After undertaking a series of exams separate from the general academic curriculum, Gleeson, a second-year student of philosophy and theology at Trinity College, is among the 103 students awarded membership to the exclusive Trinity’s Scholar’s club. Scholars are students who have demonstrated exceptional knowledge and understanding of their subjects and are elected annually.

I’d like to be an academic, a philosophy lecturer if possible. I’d do a Masters in Ancient Hebrew maybe, and a PhD hopefully, if I get in.

Gleeson is now entitled to a seat around the dinner table in the Dining Hall at Trinity College and is able to get free accommodation on the campus.

Batman Begins

Film Appearance

Gleeson appears in the movie Batman Begins as the “Little Boy”, a child who is rescued by Batman.

Despite only being a minute role, my appearance in Batman Begins presented me with my first encounter with ‘celebrity.’ After the film came out, I was always forever ‘the kid from ‘Batman.

Jack Gleeson born in Cork, Ireland

Jack Gleeson is born in Cork, Ireland (parent’s names unknown). Jack and his two older sisters, Rachel and Emma, all attended drama classes from a young age.

Ever since my mother sent me to Saturday morning grammar classes when I was 7, I wanted to become a famous actor. I loved the idea of captivating an audience and moving them truly through performance, but more importantly being recognized and heavily lauded for that talent.
