James Phelps

Phelps plays Fred Weasley, a mischievous but friendly brother to Ron in this fantasy directed by Chris Columbus based on the book by J.K. Rowling. Fred tries to get a laugh out of everyone, despite the suspicious events surrounding Hogwarts in his third year. Co-starring Rupert Grint, Dan Radcliffe, Oliver Phelps.

[My twin brother Oliver and I] actually didn’t find out who was going to play Fred Weasley and who was going to play George Weasley until the read-through. We had the scripts and everything. I honestly did prefer Fred, and that’s how it turned out.
