Arrested for domestic assault
Taylor, Charlotte Hornets forward, is arrested on domestic assault charges at the Marriott at University Place in East Lansing, Michigan. Taylor is charged with one count of domestic assault, one count of assault and one count of malicious destruction of property. Taylor is released on 5,00 bond. East Lansing Police Department declines to release more details on the incident. Hornet’s statement:
The Charlotte Hornets were made aware of the incident involving Jeffery Taylor early this evening. The organization is in the process of gathering more information and doing our due diligence.
Put on paid leave
Taylor, Charlotte Hornets forward, is put on paid leave by the Hornets while authorities investigate domestic violence charges. Taylor will not participate in any team activity. Hornet’s statement:
We have informed Jeffery Taylor that effective immediately he will not be participating in any team-related activities while the NBA is investigating his conduct in this matter. As an organization, we understand and appreciate the seriousness of this matter, and will assist the NBA and law enforcement in any way we can until this comes to an acceptable resolution. We have spoken with Jeffery and his representatives and they fully understand our position.
