Joseph Gordon-Levitt is an American actor who is also known for his work on television, theater, and online media. Born in 1981 in Los Angeles, California, he started doing film and TV roles at a very young age, but it was his work in the sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun that made him a household name. He proceeded to take on a diverse variety of roles in such films as 10 Things I Hate About You, Manic, (500) Days of Summer, Inception, and Don Jon. He is also co-creator and founder of the online collaborative production company, hitRECord Productions.

Gordon-Levitt stars in this Disney comedy remake of the 1951 film of the same name. The 13-year old actor plays Roger, a foster child who loves the dismally performing California Angels and yearns for a normal family. He begins to see angels after praying to God for his team to win so that he can have his father back. The actor is joined by Christopher Lloyd as head angel Al, Danny Glover as Angels manager George Knox, and Tony Danza as Angels pitcher Mel Clark.
