Griffin, the President of the Human Rights Campaign says of Bond:
Very few throughout human history have embodied the ideals of honor, dignity, courage and friendship like Dr. Julian Bond. Quite simply, this nation and this world are far better because of his life and commitment to justice and equality for all people. Future generations will look back on the life and legacy of Julian Bond and see a warrior of good who helped conquer hate in the name of love. I will greatly miss my friend and my hero, Dr. Julian Bond.
Julian Bond was a hero. Justice and equality are missions that crossed his life. He helped change this country for the better.
Strength of character, a holder of a strong ethical and moral compass, and a servant to all of mankind. RIP Julian Bond.
I’ve seen mr Bond in a lot of civil rights documentaries on the History channel, he was a good man r.i.p

An amazing man, an inspiration to millions in his day, a great polititician, and a natural born leader with the NAACP. People like Mr. Bond are truly 1 in a million!!!!! Men of his character are few and far between, and will be missed! Condolences and prayers to his family and friends!

Mr Bonds passing is a loss for all Americans. Need more civil rights leaders for this generation.
