I grew up in that Catholic family of ‘don’t say anything, and even if you see proof of something you better deny it, because that’s how we roll’.

Michigan Avenue cover

Magazine Cover0 Comments

Griffin appears on the cover of the December 2009/January 2010 issue of Michigan Avenue magazine. She talks about A-listers.

When I look at someone like Megan Fox, I think, OK, have at it, honey. Enjoy it. But what you have does go away. I’m all about the old-school people that just have really learned a lot, survived a lot. To me, the real A-lister is going to be at that table in 20 years, 30 years. It’s probably not the Maxim Hot 100 Girl of this year. It’s Jerry Springer, who could buy and sell the Hancock building. I’m telling you, there’s a secret society of people who are richer than anybody on the Forbes list.

Seacrest interviews Griffin during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and questions who she would like to work with.

Naturally it would be Cher. In fact Cher even offered to sing a version of my song and as a matter of fact she played me her duet with Lady Gaga, that is fantastic. So, of course I’m going to go with Cher.

Seacrest interviews Griffin during On Air With Ryan Seacrest about hosting the TrevorLIVE charity fundraiser.

The Trevor Project is a great organization and we’re dealing with suicidal teens primarily from the LGBT community and it’s a hotline they’ve had forever and they have a website TrevorProject.org but what’s exciting is they’ve also added texting let’s say you’re being bullied and you’re maybe not in the situation where you have the privacy to make a call, you can send a text or email and get help that way.

465263581_griffin_mbKathy Griffins wins Grammy for Best Comedy Album for Calm Down Gurrl.

The title came to me just looking at everything going on this year — all kinds of nonsense in the news and political weirdness and celebrities not being able to control themselves. I found myself hollering back at my TV, “Calm down, gurrl,” whether it was to a government official or a celebrity, male or female, young or old. “Calm down” is actually a terrible thing to say to us women when we’re upset.
