Perry also adds new collaborations to the album such as Kanye West on E.T. and Missy Elliott on Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).
This is the complete story of Teenage Dream. It was an honor to tie the King of Pop’s Billboard Hot 100 record, but I’m moving forward and had a few things left to get off my chest. So this is the complete special edition of my album for my fans.

Perry releases Wide Awake from her album Teenage Dream: The Complete Collection. Perry wants her audience to feel certain emotions when listening to the song:
Well, this song, I have a lot of different emotions and feelings in all of my songs. This song in particular is a dose of reality. It’s kind of like coming down from a high. You’ve been on cloud nine for so long, and it can’t always be so sweet and sometimes you need to realize that, and you have to pick yourself up and move forward and face the facts of life and know that this is just a lesson you learn and you’re stronger because of it.

This year after the movie is finished I’m just going to figure out what that feeling of being bored actually means. I’m going to not plan anything. I want to do these things that my friends call ‘Coin Flip Trips.’ Where I close my eyes and put my finger on a globe and I spin it. Then I open my eyes and we go there!

The movie titled Katy Perry: Part of Me features exclusive interviews with Perry on her life story and personal events as well as scenes shot from her California Dreams tour. The movie also features Perry speaking on her relationship with Russell Brand and performances of tracks from her album Teenage Dream.
It’s closing the chapter on Teenage Dream, but it’s giving you such an inside perspective. This film, you’re going to see it from my best friend/buddy perspective, you’re going to see exactly what I mean and feel and think about everything.

Perry and Brand finalize their divorce after 14 months of marriage. The couple split over disagreements on family, having children and the hardship of being away from each other too often for work. Brand says he loved Perry and does not regret their relationship.
