Questions Froome performance

Accusation

As Froome dominates the Pyrenees Mountain stage of the Tour, Armstrong questions if he is cheating

1. Clearly Froome/Porte/Sky are very strong. Too strong to be clean? Don’t ask me, I have no clue.

@danieljcastille I’m not accusing anyone In fact, quite the opposite. I’m not interested (nor do I have the credibility) to opine there.

$10 million judgement

Judgement

An arbitration panel in Texas orders Armstrong to pay prize-insurer SCA Promotions $10 million for lying under oath about doping. SCA’s president and founder Bob Hamman:

We are very pleased with this result. It is hard to describe how much harm Lance Armstrong’s web of lies caused SCA, but this is a good first start towards repairing that damage.

Armstrong confession impacts games

Makes Statement

IOC member Dick Pound says the organization could be forced to drop cycling from the games after Armstrong’s confession. Any decision will come after the cyclist’s interview with Winfrey airs.

The only way it is going to clean up is if all these people say ‘hey, we’re no longer in the Olympics and that’s where we want to be so let’s earn our way back into it.

O Magazine interview

Interview

Armstrong talks about cycling at 15-years-old in an interview for O Magazine.

Anyone could come for the group rides, so my buddies and I were with local and even regional racers. There we were at age 15, duking it out with these guys. At that point, I thought, “Maybe I’m pretty good at this bike thing.” I started competing—just short races. A few years later, I began devoting all my time to the sport.
