Parker wins award for Best Actress in a TV Series Comedy or Musical. The other nominees were Marica Cross, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman and Eva Longoria each from the show Desperate Housewives.

I didn’t have a speech or anything, I thought Felicity was going to win, so I was really surprised. Teri Hatcher was so sweet to me. I voted for you for the other award. We were all desperate housewives, mine was just a little more desperate than they were.

I am thrilled to be nominated amongst this talented group of actors and especially happy for my friend Christina that she is being recognized for her great work. I feel proud to be a part of this show and to work with an incredible group of creative minds who take chances and are being acknowledged for this today.

Weeds final season

The comedy series created by Jenji Kohan, starring Parker who plays Nancy Botwin, a single mother who lives in the suburbs and to support her family starts to sell marijuana, starts its final season.

It’s funny, because some people I meet seem so conservative to me. They say they love the show and sometimes I look at them and find that really surprising. You know, former President Clinton told me he liked it and he watched it. I don’t know if the current president watches it.
