Raj Giri interview

Interview0 Comments

Hardy talks about the advantages of wrestling in TNA:

I think TNA is a great place for newer guys to go, especially get some TV exposure to work TV for the first time. I think it’s a great move for TNA to get their TV program out where it’s in front of a different audience besides just the Impact Zone in Orlando. It’s just one of those things. TNA is in a growing process, they’re in a learning process. I think they’re going to make missteps along the way, but I think if TNA can continue to improve and continue to get better it’s really important because the more places we have to be, somewhat of a competitive level between brands,

RCWR interview

Interview0 Comments

Hardy speaks to RCWR  about his advice to TNA wrestling’s creative team.

The first thing I would say to TNA is with your story telling and the personas and characters you are are telling stories for TV, be sophisticated. Make sure there’s continuity in every story you’re telling because the viewers are more intelligent in 2013 than they’ve ever been. There is so much information accessible to everyone who watches wrestling on TV. You can go online, you can Google anything. You can find out everything. So when you’re on there and you’re portraying a story of these two characters that are wrestling and ultimately it is good vs evil, you know, it is bad vs the hero and in this era of golden TV with shows like Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy, Mad Men, whatever the show is, wrestling repeats are bad which is good storytelling.

The Swerve Magazine interview

Interview0 Comments

Hardy talks to The Swerve Magazine about enjoying his wrestling career with less travelling involved.

I make my own schedule; if I want to take off, I can take off; if I want to work more, I can work more. I choose when I work, where I work, I choose who I wrestle. I pretty much get to choose everything. When you work for WWE they tell you where to go, they tell you when you work, they tell you when you’re not going to work, they tell you what to do.

Ring Rust Radio appearance

Interview0 Comments

Hardy sits down with Ring Rust Radio to discuss current events in TNA and working with his brother, Matt, again.

I’ve had some recent new ideas that I’ve talked to Matt about but we haven’t debuted them yet, but are pretty possible. It’s like riding a bicycle. Matt and I teamed for a long time and we did an Omega show at the high school that Matt and I graduated from and wrestled the Briscoe Brothers and the whole show from beginning to end was so good and the Briscoes vs. the Hardys was a killer main event. I also did a few other Indy shots with Matt and we were just as good as we’ve ever been.

Huffington Post interview

Interview0 Comments

Hardy talks to The Huffington Post about teaming with Jeff again and wrestling Team 3D.

Its good fun! It’s like a time warp. It’s so strange. We’ve been separated and we haven’t been in the ring with those guys for about 12 years. You know as soon as we start working with them, we start having memories of old matches we had in Peoria Illinois – random cities across the world, it’s a great dose of nostalgia.

Between the Ropes interview

Interview0 Comments

Hardy talks to Between the Ropes about working the independent scene and being his own boss.

This is the most fun I’ve had in wrestling because there’s no pressure, there’s no stress. And I’m not afraid to tell people no. If someone says “we want you to do this” and I’ll go that’s OK, I’m not interested. There’s people that contact me all the time with decent offers and I’ll go I’m not interested. I really am my own boss and it’s nice.

Sporting News interview

Interview0 Comments

Hardy talks to Sporting News about the independent scene and making good money without WWE.

I do some really cool stuff. It’s not as glamorous as being in the WWE, but the fact of the matter is I’m having fun and I’m still being able to do what was my dream as a child and that’s be a professional wrestler. And I’m still making fantastic money. I have no complaints on that end.
