Worlds safest airline
AirlineRatings.com publishes a report naming QANTAS as the safest airline in the world for 2014. Qantas did not have any fatality during 2014. The rating system is endorsed by the International Civil Aviation Organization, a United Nations agency. The airline is named the leader in terms of real-time monitoring of its engines across its fleet using satellite communications, development of an avionics system that provides a direct data link communication between the pilot and the air traffic controller, as well as the development of flight data recorders to monitor plane and crew performance.
Airline honors Miller
