Russell Crowe is a New Zealand actor, musician, and producer who is based in Australia and the United States. Early in his career, the actor co-starred in films such as L.A. Confidential, Virtuosity, and The Insider. He gained worldwide recognition for his role as General Maximus in Gladiator, which also won him an Academy Award. He also owns a stake in the Australian Rugby League team: South Sydney Rabbitohs. The actor has two sons named Charles and Tennyson with Australian singer Danielle Spencer, from whom he has been separated since 2012.

Crowe plays Wendell ‘Bud’ White in the crime drama L.A. Confidential. Set in the streets of L.A. in the 1950’s, three cops with very different law enforcing methods must work together to solve multiple homicides in a local diner. Being the hot head of the trio, White is known to bend the rules when solving his crimes. Co-starring Kevin Spacey, Guy Pearce, and Kim Basinger.

Kim is a really lovely woman and a very fine actress and we had a lot of fun together. She’s a great dancer, Kim. And we spun around that floor.

Crowe plays Maximus in the period drama Gladiator. On his death bed, Roman Emperor Aurelius names General Maximus to be his heir over his own son. Angered, the emperor’s son imprisons Maximus and enrolls him in the gladiator games. With vengeance on his mind, Maximus slowly wins support with each victory. Co-starring Joaquin Phoenix.

Man I had a lot of fun with Ridley. He’s a great chap and an incredible artist.
