The Book Thief

In this drama directed by Brian Percival, Nelesse plays Meminger a young girl sent to live with a foster family in World War II Germany. She learns to read with the encouragement of her new family and a Jewish refugee who they are hiding. The power of words and imagination becomes the only escape from events happening around them. For me, there was one day in the last week. It was the whole scene when everyone dies and then I had to cry all day. It was fun because it was a challenge for me, and at the end, I was really proud of myself, but it was just so depressing and so awkward at the same time because I had to kiss Nico.
