Rape claim

Accusation0 Comments

Green, a California lawyer, appears on the Today show and alleges that Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her in the 1970s. Green tells Lauer that Cosby, who had given her pills to combat a fever, drove her to her apartment and began:

groping me and kissing me and touching me and handling me and … taking off my clothes.

According to Green, Cosby left two $100 bills on her coffee table afterwards. Cosby’s lawyer:

Miss Green’s allegations are absolutely false. Mr. Cosby does not know the name Tamara Green or Tamara Lucier [her maiden name], and the incident she describes did not happen. The fact that she may have repeated this story to others is not corroboration.

‘Sexual predator’

Interview0 Comments

In an interview with The Daily Mail, Green says Cosby is a ‘sexual predator’ who, she claims, groomed her for sex and has attacked dozens more women in the past.

Bill Crosby is twisted, he’s a sexual predator who attacked me and has done the same to dozens of women that I know of. But he continues to refuse to acknowledge it, which is what angers me and the other women most. He should come clean and apologize for what he has done. To admit that the fame, the money and his own propaganda went to his head and he lost control.

She claims Cosby gave her two pills when she was sick with the flu, pretended he wanted to care for her, offered to take her home, and once there he stripped her naked, groped and kissed her before pleasuring himself sexually as she screamed for help.

I couldn’t control my body, I couldn’t walk, I couldn’t run, I couldn’t do anything. I picked up a table lamp off of my night stand and through it at the window. He was like, ‘Let’s take off your clothes and get you in to bed because you’re so sick and we need to take care of you, I’m helping you.’

He put me in bed and then started taking his clothes off, I was like ‘no, no, no’. He touched me up, kissed me and he was handling himself and I’m starting to scream.’

She says she was able to fight him off:

‘I’m fighting because even if you get away with it and you don’t kill me you will have me on your a** for the rest of your natural life, I told him at the time and that’s what has happened. I was making too much noise so he gets up and he leaves two $100 bills on my table next to my door as he was leaving and that was the final insult.

‘Not a lie’

Makes Statement0 Comments

In a follow-up interview on ET, Dickinson defends her claims against Cosby in a tearful interview..

It is not a lie. It is my right as a woman. I have to speak up and you have to be able to go in and just be brave and do it for all the women that can’t come forward. The loss of innocence that I suffered and that these women suffered is why I’m sitting here today. And I don’t care about what Cosby or networks or anybody says, you will hear me.

Green, another of Cosby’s accusers, calls into ET during Dickinson’s interview. Dickinson:

You were there, you know what happened to you. I didn’t go to the police the next day because I didn’t have the courage or the strength.

Files defamation suit against Cosby

Files Suit0 Comments

Green files suit against Cosby saying that he defamed her by declaring her claims that she was sexually assaulted by Cosby “absolutely false”. Filing:

Thus, by innuendo and effect, Defendant Cosby publicly branded Plaintiff Green a liar.

Joseph Cammarata, Green’s attorney:

This lawsuit provides an opportunity for Ms. Green and Mr. Cosby to litigate the truth or falsity of the comments. It provides them an opportunity to have their day in court, to present evidence and allow a jury to determine who is telling the truth and who isn’t. It’s that simple.

Defamation suit continues

Judgement0 Comments

Federal Judge Mastroianni says a defamation lawsuit brought against Cosby by three women who say he sexually abused them decades ago can move forward. Cosby’s lawyers had asked the judge to dismiss their suit, arguing that the remarks were personal opinions protected by the First Amendment and legal declarations made in his defense. Green, Serignese and Traitz have accused Cosby of drugging them and then having unwanted sexual contact with them. The defamatory comments range from statements dismissing their accusations as “ridiculous claims” and “absurd fabrication” to longer remarks that sought to discredit the accuser. Mastroianni:

The court recognizes that some jurisdictions do apply a version of the conditional self-defense privilege, which allows individuals, in certain circumstances, to publish defamatory responsive statements necessary to defend their reputation. However … such a privilege does not permit a defendant to knowingly publish false states.

Attorney for women:

We’d expect and hope the judge rejected every one of Mr. Cosby’s attempts to throw the case out of court and allowed the case to proceed.

Sues seven accusers for defamation

Files Suit0 Comments

In response to a defamation suit brought by his accusers, Cosby sues Green, Serignese, Traitz, Louisa Moritz, Bowman, Tarshis and Leslie for defamation, saying:

[The defendants] have made malicious, opportunistic and false and defamatory accusations of sexual misconduct against him. [They have] knowingly published false statements and accusations.
