Wins Heisman Trophy
The University of Florida’s Tebow becomes the first sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy. Tebow:
There are a lot of great freshmen and sophomores out there. And I’m just glad that I get to be the first one to win this.
Still training
Tebow is still training for the NFL despite not being on a team. The ex college and former NFL star is back in L.A. to train for NFL tryouts this fall. His regimen will focus on his throwing motion which dispels any rumors that the quarterback will change positions.
I will remain in relentless pursuit of continuing my lifelong dream of being an NFL quarterback
Joins Good Morning America
Tebow joins Good Morning America as a contributor. Tebow, who guest hosted on the show during Super Bowl week, will launch the Motive Me Monday series on September 15.
Tebow will appear in studio and live on location in towns across America with a wide-range of reports that motivate and inspire.
Joins ESPN as bowl game announcer
Tebow is set to make his debut as an in-booth announcer for ESPN during the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl.
I love the game and it’s been an incredible learning experience on the television side this fall. SEC Nation has become my second family. The bowl season simply provided the opportunity to contribute in a different way and share my passion for the game in-motion as a game analyst. I have a great respect for the booth and feel blessed to be joining a team of veterans for the Peach Bowl in my first game role.
Released
The Eagles release Tebow. The cut leaves the Eagles with two quarterbacks on the roster, although Coach Kelly says they may add a third.
