Joins TNA
Punk begins appearing for TNA Wrestling on their weekly pay-per-view events. He appears as part of the faction “The Gathering”.
I got into NWA:TNA through an old friend from Minnesota, Mortimer Plumtree. After my concussion and head fracture I was in Philly traveling with my good friends Josh Prohibition and M-Dog 20. Ace called me and told me to come home; we were going to be on the PPV. We got there and saw on the booking sheet we were going to be a tag team that was going over and getting into the battle royal. Like lots of times in this business, dont count your chickens till they hatched.
Leaves TNA

TNA debut
Foley makes his first TNA televised appearance. TNA founder, Jeff Jarrett introduces Foley to the fans before he appears on the big screen on the entrance way to close the show.
One of the things that impressed me about TNA is that they have a big picture. I made it very clear that the show did not need to be about me. I saw the big picture and I realized that I can make contributions when they are needed. So while I don’t see Destination X as something that I’ll play a large role in, it will be an important role in the bigger picture.
Countdown to Lockdown: A Hardcore Journal
Foley publishes his fourth memoir, Countdown to Lockdown: A Hardcore Journal. The book follows Foley’s run in TNA as he counts down the events leading up to his highly publicized match against Sting.
At one time, I was really afraid they were going to scrap the whole project, especially when my own personal story started to take a turn for the worse. Luckily for me, Vince McMahon really believed that I should have the right to tell the story as I saw it.
