Proposes pipeline
Shatner proposes a water pipeline from the Pacific Northwest to California to solve the drought.
California’s in the midst of a 4-year-old drought. They tell us there’s a year’s supply of water left. If it doesn’t rain next year, what do 20 million people in the breadbasket of the world do? In a place that’s the fifth-largest GDP — if California were a country, it’d be fifth in line — we’re about to be arid! What do you do about it?..So I’m starting a Kickstarter campaign. I want $30 billion … to build a pipeline like the Alaska pipeline. Say, from Seattle — a place where there’s a lot of water. There’s too much water. How bad would it be to get a large, 4-foot pipeline, keep it above ground — because if it leaks, you’re irrigating!
Will miss funeral
Shatner tweets his regret that he will miss Nimoy’s funeral due to a prior commitment.
I am currently in FL as I agreed to appear at the Red Cross Ball tonight. Leonard's funeral is tomorrow. I can't make it back in time.

Confirms Star Trek 3 rumors
0 CommentsShatner confirms that he has been contacted by producer J.J. Abrams about a role in the upcoming Star Trek 3 film. The film is expected to release in theaters in 2016. Shatner at an appearance at Wizard World Nashville:
So the news is out that they have an idea that they want Leonard and myselfthey might want Leonard and myself in it. But I would love to do it. But how do you get me fifty years later into the movie? I mean how do you rationalize it. I know it’s science fiction, but even I couldn’t come up with an idea. So that’s the news on that.
Mentions ‘ill-conceived’
In a five-section report Shatner reviews Mentions against the Facebook Pages Apps, comparing feeds, insights, posts and notifications. Shatner notes that Mentions forces him to follow a another celebrity. When the app suggests he follow George Takei he rolls his eyes and follows Robert Downey Jr. instead.
If this app is for celebrities, then why force them to follow another celebrity in order to set up this app?
He concludes:
I’m not quite sure why Facebook released this app. It seems to be ill conceived. I will probably use it to post to my Facebook when I’m on my phone but it doesn’t allow for mail or groups. I will continue to use my regular Facebook App as well as the Pages app.
Talk is Jericho interview
Shatner is a guest on Talk is Jericho to discuss wrestling, UFOs and compliments Jericho’s discipline as a wrestler.
I was curious about you. The effort and discipline that it takes to be an athlete and stay in shape. To overcome being hurt. There’s a whole area to being an athlete and then being a performer.
Elle Magazine interview
Shatner gives interview to Elle about any advice he would like to give his younger self if he could.
I’m gonna reveal something to you that’s going to come as a shock: If you’re a stupid young man, you’re usually a stupid old man. Most people, including myself, keep repeating the same mistakes.
Emmy nomination
Shatner is nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama at the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards for portraying Denny Crane on Boston Legal.
What a fitting tribute to a unique show. The Emmy would enter a pantheon to memorialize a wonderful television event. My best, Bill
