Kristoffersen wins the Olympic bronze medal in the Men’s Alpine Skiing: Slalom event. The Olympic skier has a combined time of 1:42.67 minutes which was 0.83 seconds behind gold winner Mario Matt of Austria.

I thought the medals are gone so I have to just ski good and not embarrass myself one more time. I was pretty smart, I think. I’m only smart when I’m skiing.

Mikaela was absolute fantastic skiing, so she was the favorite and she nailed all of us.

The dream died in the first run. I won the silver medal in the second run and that’s great.

I was a lot less stressed today than at the super-combined. It was important for me (to get a medal).

This is probably the most emotional day of ski racing that I’ve ever had. All the issues and troubles that I’ve had, to come and be able to have a really strong result, it reminds me of all the work that I did to come back from the injuries and all the hard times, it’s all worth it.

I would also like to point out one thing. This is the 10th Olympic medal in my family. Janica has six and now I have four, and I am especially proud of that fact.
