First international goal
Goal-line technology awards the first international goal in history as France beat Honduras 3-0 in a 2014 World Cup Group E match in Porto Alegre. Karim Benzema strikes the goalframe with a volley three minutes into the second period and the ball rebounds off Honduras goalkeeper Noel Valladeres, who tries to prevent it crossing the line. Referee Sandro Ricci awards an own goal after consulting the GoalControl system.
