At a fight in Michigan, Grays receives a head kick from Johnson, resulting in his prosthetic eye flying out of his head onto the canvas. In a slow motion replay, the glass eye can be seen rolling away on the canvas. The referee narrowly avoids stepping on the eye as it rolls right past his feet. While Grays was able to get back up to his feet, with his right eye was obviously closed, he goes on to lose the fight.
