Breast cancer fundraiser
Pickler teams up with Grant to raise money for breast cancer awareness. The singers will perform at a private event, Eat. Drink. Party Pink, that is scheduled to take place on September 30th, in Nashville. The event will kick off Breast Cancer Awareness month. Pickler’s sister was previously diagnosed with breast cancer:
Breast cancer really hit close to home for me when my ‘big sis,’ Summer, was diagnosed at such an early age. I’m happy to say she is now cancer-free. But so many other women continue to have to fight this disease, and even more may not know they need to be aware of earlier detection than previously thought. That’s why I’m excited to be an Athena Warrior…. I want to help raise awareness so we can find a cure.
Hollywood Walk of Fame
Grant is presented with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her work in the category of Recording. Her husband Vince Gill and A&M Records founder Jerry Moss serve as guest speakers at the ceremony.
I see all my family, co-workers and friends and I have to say, nothing happens alone. Life is like a massive vessel, you don’t sail alone… It’s been an exciting ride!
Wins Grammy
Grant wins the Grammy for Best Southern, Country, or Bluegrass Gospel Album for Rock Of Ages…Hymns & Faith.

Grant performs Baby Baby on The Arsenio Hall Show in Los Angeles, California.
