Samberg, Newsom marry

Marriage0 Comments

Samberg marries Newsom at the Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur, California. The guest list includes stars such as Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, as well as close family and friends. The wedding was supposed to be a secret, but Samberg’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine co-star Terry Crews spilled the beans on a red carpet on Sept. 17. The bride reportedly walks down the aisle in a Zac Posen wedding dress.

Despite lots of laughter, there were tears too. Andy’s speech was the perfect mix of comedy and sentiment. Both he and Joanna were crying throughout the speech.

Andy Samberg interview

Elle Magazine interviews Samberg about the longevity of his TV series Brooklyn Nine Nine.

Yeah! No one has to get married for the show to conclude. That was one of the pleasant revelations that came from doing the pilot. A lot of people watched it and said, ‘I actually really enjoyed following the crime.’ That was surprising, but at the same time, we wanted to make sure that that our characters were actually good at their jobs. As a comedian, you rarely think about that kind of thing in. I’m usually like, ‘Are people laughing?’ Because if they’re not, we’re toast.

Samberg gives interview to Elle about relationships and has he ever cheated on a girlfriend.

I’ve never cheated on a girl. From what I’ve observed, it’s always more trouble than it’s worth. You should just tell a person you’re not happy. Otherwise, you have to see the other girl and be nice to her and be in on this elaborate lie. Luckily, most of my friends don’t do that. They’re all nice Berkeley boys.

Samberg talks about his approach to comedy:

I think the goal of most comedy, just like most movies or television, is an escape from the mundane stuff in our life, and I’ve always found it worthwhile to make something completely stupid just to prove that you can. People in general are too stressed-out, even though most things are pretty ridiculous.
