Cooper discusses his role in American Sniper and the reactions that the movie has been getting at the Oscar Nominees Luncheon. Cooper also talks about his preparation for playing the role. His response towards the controversy surrounding the film:
Any discussion that sort of sheds light to the plight of the soldiers and the men and women in the Armed Services, for that discussion to occur is fantastic.

Stone, Affleck, and Cooper appear on the cover of the March 2013 issue of Vanity Fair magazine. They were chosen for the cover because of their accomplishments over the past year. Vanity Fair says:
[The photos are taken in] the house where Robert Duvall, the consigliere to the Corleone family, arranges to have the recalcitrant movie producer who lives there wake up with his prize horse’s head in his bed.

Cooper appears on the cover of People after he is named Sexiest Man Alive. He is not only a great actor but can speak French and cook. On advice from his parents:
Be yourself’-that’s the biggest gift I got from my parents. I was never forced in any direction. I was presented with all these opportunities, but never did I feel like, ‘Oh, God, I have to make my parents proud.’ All my pressure has been self-imposed my whole life. It’s all been self-generated judgment.

Cooper gives interview to Elle about his favorite moments on state during the Broadway show Three Days of Rain.
My favorite moment on stage was one night there’s a scene between me and Julia; we’re both sitting downstage, near the audience. And there was a person right in front of us, I don’t know who she was, but if I just, like, moved my eyebrow she was like, Hahahaahah! Laughing at everything I did this cackle to the point where I literally was just trying to say my lines and not move. It got to the point she’s like the third character in the play at this point. And I was looking at Julia and she just started laughing and I started laughing, and it’s like, Oh my God, I am not going to be able to stop laughing and there are a thousand people watching us right now.
