Likes Trump’s ‘don’t give a sh*t’ attitude

Interview

On The Nerdist Podcast Cranston discusses Trump.

I actually like his candor. There’s something so refreshing about shaking up that world that is all about being handled. And here comes this loose cannon who has terrible ideas and would be a horrible president, but there’s something great about his ‘I don’t give a s—‘ attitude that really kind of keeps others honest. I think it’s a surprise benefit to the country, actually. I hope he stays in for a long, long time and just collapses that whole tent of his.

Maxim Interview

Interview

Cranston discusses his role in the movie Godzilla:

I’m a scientist at a nuclear power plant. I’m married to Juliette Binoche, and I was very pleased when she was cast in that role. The movie is about family and how we cope with the potential life-ending problem of the monster. It’s also about how we as a people may be messing with Mother Nature when it comes to nuclear power.

I’m thrilled we received 13 nominations … When I left Malcolm In The Middle, there were offers to play the goofy dad, but Breaking Bad came along. I knew when I read it that Walter White was a rare beast. Whoever was going to play Walter White, it was going to change their life.

It’s a double celebration. It’s my 21st anniversary today. However, when I turned to my wife and said, ‘Is being nominated enough of an anniversary present for you?’ And she said, ‘No.’ I went, ‘OK. I’ll be right back.”

Cranston is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama at the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards for portraying Walter White on Breaking Bad.

We’re still the tiny show that’s chugging up the hill, so the great thing about this kind of recognition — five nominations — is that if the name Breaking Bad gets out there enough, it’ll stimulate some people, hopefully many, into giving us a try.
