Coach Kavanagh wants McGregor back in MMA
After it was claimed that Canelo Alvarez’s representatives, Golden Boy Promotion’s, entered negations with Conor McGregor’s team shortly after his controversial middleweight title unification fight with Gennady Golovkin, John Kavanagh, McGregor’s coach, says that he doesn’t think it will happen:
McGregor: ‘Not really too much of a fan of either’ Canelo Alvarez or Gennady Golovkin
McGregor gives his opinion on Alvarez and Golovkin.
I’m not really too much of a fan of either of those. I think Canelo’s a little but stuck, a little bit flat on his feet. When I watch footage of him I just see him getting peppered — he has no feet under him…Golovkin I think came into camp, for this preparation, badly out of shape. I’m looking at him badly out of shape up in Big Bear and I just see a drained individual. So, although they’re supposedly up there as well, I don’t really think they are.

White says the proposed date for the Mayweather-McGregor fight has been lost to Canelo vs Golovkin. The fight will take place on September 16.

De La Hoya wants Canelo Alvarez vs. McGregor
De la Hoya says the only boxing fight that makes sense to him is McGregor vs. Alvarez.
If Conor is serious about fighting? First of all, I would love to talk to him and promote him. I mean, imagine Conor McGregor and Golden Boy coming together! But the only fight I would like to see, and this is the one that makes the most sense – as it would be the most exciting and would be a guaranteed knockout – is against Canelo Alvarez. And they’re in the same weight class. So it makes all the sense in the world. Imagine. 154. 160. It would be at 160 actually.
Open to McGregor boxing match
Alvarez says he is open to meeting McGregor is the boxing ring, and criticises his comments about boxers.
I’ve been fighting the best since I was 23, since a very young age, that’s the last thing he could ever speak about me or say about me, but I understand, there’s people out there that like to talk nonsense and stupidity.
