Benedict Cumberbatch

Benedict Cumberbatch is an English actor and producer born in 1976 in Hammersmith, London, England.  His first major television role was in the show Hawking in 2004.  Cumberbatch has also appeared in shows such as Sherlock and Parade’s End.  In 2006, he played the role of William Pitt the Younger in Amazing Grace.  Other films he appeared in include Atonement, War Horse, and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.  Awards Cumberbatch has earned include an Olivier Award for Best Actor and a Britannia Award for British Actor of the Year.  Time Magazine named him as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2014.
