Carly Rae Jepsen is a Canadian singer and songwriter born in 1985 in Mission, British Columbia. She initially gained fame by finishing third in Canadian Idol in 2007. In 2008 she released her first album Tug or War. In 2012 she released the album Kiss which featured the hit single Call Me Maybe. Jespen has won multiple Teen Choice Awards, Billboard Awards, Sirius XM Indies Awards and Juno Awards in her career.
