Late Show with David Letterman
The Late Show with David Letterman is an American late-night talk show hosted by David Letterman. Jointly produced by CBS Television Studios and Letterman’s Worldwide Pants Incorporated, the hour-long show is recorded at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City. The show’s in-house band, The CBS Orchestra, is led by Paul Shaffer. It premiered in August, 1993 and has won six Primetime Emmy awards for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series.
