They are building a TBI recovery center in Bethesda, Maryland. They offered me naming rights on one of the buildings and that they asked me to do this, I was so honored. It’s one of those things that you’re proud to tell your kids about.

Seacrest interviews Sheen during On Air With Ryan Seacrest and asks him if he would like to be an American Idol judge.

It kind of came out of nowhere and I responded with a quote just to sort of check the temperature of it or test the waters, haven’t heard anything back. I guess it got some people curious. It seems so out of the blue that it almost made perfect sense. I thought this could be a lot of fun. Seriously I’m genuinely interested. It’s so different, it could be radical.

Sheen speaks to Playboy Magazine about public scandals that cause him to be fired from the television show Two and a Half Men, which include his public addictions to drugs, porn stars, and trashing hotel rooms:

Yeah. It was surreal. And it never occurred to me where this stuff was going to end up or how it was going to be perceived. I didn’t care about anything beyond the moment. And then I was a little shocked by how huge the whole thing became. It was like an organism you couldn’t stop. It kept growing.

Moving into somebody else’s house is a scary thing. Who know what the dynamic would be and how everybody would feel? I wanted to make sure it was comfortable for everybody else and myself.

I’ve got mad energy for days. That’s what people can’t get their minds around. They say, ‘Oh, he’s going to crash.’ They try to apply all these common terms to a guy who is not common. I don’t fit into their little box.

Fired

The actor is fired  from Two and a Half Men. The actor says:

This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of the bazillions, never have to look at whatshiscock again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension. These guys are such yellow cockroaches that they didn’t even have the decency to call me. I put 5 bil in their cheap suit pockets and another half a bil in what’s-his-cheese’s pockets and this is the f**king respect I get? It’s just deplorable, and they should be ashamed of themselves!

Sheen plays young recruit Chris, in this Vietnam war drama directed by Oliver Stone. Chris tells his story of the war through his own eyes. From the carnage and deception of the enemy, to the fear and breaking point of every man. He then sees crimes happen within the war and faces a moral dilemma – do something about them or let it all go. The film also stars Tom Berenger and Willem DaFoe. Stone on casting Sheen:

Charlie was a dumb-struck 17-year-old the first time he came in for the film, back when we were going to make it in ’84. And in those two years, he’d grown and seemed perfectly wide-eyed and had a vaguely privileged look.
