Biloxi rally: Iran deal

Gives Talk0 Comments

At a rally in Biloxi. MI, Trump talks about the Iran Nuclear Deal, and wonders aloud why the deal did not include the release of prisoners.

It’s almost like there has to be something else going on. I don’t think there is, I just don’t think they’re competent…Who would make that deal?..[Iran would have refused, then you] you double and triple up your sanctions…[The prisoners] will be out before I take office…I can’t believe they didn’t walk from that negotiation…People want, not that phony Obama change. People want strength, they want competence.

‘Hillary got schlonged’

Gives Talk0 Comments

At a rally in Grand Rapids, MI, Trump comments on Clinton’s bathroom break at the Democratic debate.

What happened to her? I’m watching the debate, and she disappeared. Where did she go?! I know where she went. It’s disgusting, I don’t want to talk about it. No, it’s too disgusting. Don’t say it, it’s disgusting…Even a race to Obama, she was gonna beat Obama. I don’t know who would be worse, I don’t know, how could it be worse? But she was going to beat — she was favored to win — and she got schlonged, she lost, I mean she lost.

Says Trump is ‘ISIS best recruiter’

Debate0 Comments

During the Democratic presidential debate Clinton says Trump is hurting the U.S. fight against terrorism with anti-Muslim rhetoric.

He is becoming ISIS’ best recruiter. They are going to people, showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists…The first line of defense against radicalization is in the Muslim American community — people who we should be welcoming and working with…I worry greatly that the rhetoric coming from the Republicans, particularly Donald Trump, is sending a message to Muslims here in the United States and literally around the world that there is a clash of civilizations, that there is some kind of Western plot or war against Islam, which then, I believe, fans the flames of radicalization…If you’re going to put together a coalition in the region to take on the threat of ISIS, you don’t want to alienate the very countries and people you need to be part of the coalition.

Makes Statement0 Comments

During an annual news conference with reporters, Putin comments on Trump’s standing in the race.

He is a bright and talented person without any doubt. [He] is an outstanding and talented personality. [He is] the absolute leader of the presidential race.

Trump responds:

It is always a great honor to be so nicely complimented by a man so highly respected within his own country and beyond. I have always felt that Russia and the United States should be able to work well with each other towards defeating terrorism and restoring world peace, not to mention trade and all of the other benefits derived from mutual respect.

Trump’s plan ‘full of hatred’

Makes Statement0 Comments

Malala speaks in Birmingham, UK, about Trump’s plan to ban Muslims from entering the U.S.

Well, that’s really tragic that you hear these comments which are full of hatred, full of this ideology of being discriminative towards others.

She later criticises the media:

I have to say that whether it’s Western media or Eastern media, if they only blame 1.6 billion Muslims for terrorists attacks then terrorism can’t be defeated, that just leads to creating more anger in people and leads to producing more terrorists.

GOP debate: Responds to boos

Debate0 Comments

After Rand Paul says Trump’s plan to shut down the internet, would be “getting rid of the First Amendment” Trumps says that if ISIS kills Americans, Americans should be able to kill ISIS and infiltrate their networks.

ISIS is recruiting through the internet. ISIS is using the internet better than we are using the Internet and it was our idea. What I wanted to do is I wanted to get our brilliant people from Silicon Valley and other places and figure out a way that ISIS cannot do what they’re doing…We’re not talking about closing the Internet. I’m talking about parts of Syria, parts of Iraq. Where ISIS is. Spotting it. Now, you could close it. What I like even better than that is getting our smartest and getting our best to infiltrate their Internet.”

Trump appears to be surprised by audience members booing.

I just can’t imagine somebody booing. These are people that want to kill us, folks. And you’re objecting to us infiltrating their conversations? I don’t think so.

Des Moines Rally

Gives Talk1 Comments

At a rally in Des Moines, IA, Trump responds to a New York Times report that said Ted Cruz questioned Trump’s judgment in a closed-door meeting, questioning Cruz’s oppositions of Ethanol subsidies.

I do like Ted Cruz, but not a lot of evangelicals come out of Cuba. Not a lot come out…With the ethanol, really, he’s got to come a long way, ’cause right now he’s for the oil…But I understand it, oil pays him a lot of money. He’s got to be for oil, right? But I’m with you. I’m self-funding. I have no oil company. I have no special interest.

Don Lemon interview

Interview0 Comments

Trump is interviewed by Lemon on CNN about his plan to halt Muslim immigration, a possible third-party bid, and the effect the campaign has on him. He says that his plan would have exceptions for Muslim athletes and diplomats.

I am the least racist person that you have ever met…I’m doing good for the Muslims. Many Muslim friends of mine are in agreement with me. They say, ‘Donald, you brought something up to the fore that is so brilliant and so fantastic.’ I have many friends who are Muslims. They’re phenomenal people. They are so happy at what I’m doing. I love the Middle East. I love the people of the Middle East.

On a third party run:

I think it’s highly unlikely unless they break the pledge to me, because it’s a two-way street. They said they would be honorable. So far, they, I can’t tell you if they are, but the establishment is not exactly being very good to me. If they don’t treat me with a certain amount of decorum and respect. If they don’t treat me as the front-runner…If the playing field is not level, then certainly all options are open. But that’s nothing I want to do.

On comparisons with Hitler:

You know where things bother me? If things are true. If that were true, it would bother me tremendously. But of course if you were a racist you probably wouldn’t care. But if things are true, it would bother me. But if it’s so false, and honestly I don’t hear it often.

Chris Cuomo interview

Interview0 Comments

Cuomo interviews Trump on CNN about his call for a ban on Muslim immigration. Cuomo:

You’re acting out of fear, not making us look strong, and rejecting what America is all about.

Trump:

You’re going to have many more World Trade Centers if you don’t solve it — many, many more and probably beyond the World Trade Center…They want our buildings to come down; they want our cities to be crushed. They are living within our country. And many of them want to come from outside our country…We can close our eyes. We can put the blinders on, but I don’t choose to do that…I have common sense. I know what has to be done, and we don’t want to have a situation like Paris. And we don’t want to have another World Trade Center…We need a certain toughness in this country or we’re going to end up like a lot of the other places and we’re not going to have a country left.

Trump also says that Roosevelt had instituted similar programs:

If you look at FDR, ’cause I watched Jeffrey Lord this morning, and I thought he was fantastic, by the way. If you look at him, the presidential proclamations 2525, 2526 and 2527 — that was very, very stringent.

Urges ban on Muslims coming to U.S.

Makes Statement0 Comments

In a written statement, Trump’s campaign says U.S. borders should be closed to Muslims.

Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on. Without looking at the various polling data, it is obvious to anybody the hatred is beyond comprehension. Where this hatred comes from and why we will have to determine.Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life.

Lewandowski, Trump’s campaign manager, says the shutdown would would apply specifically to student visas, tourists, and other travelers to the United States. Trump confirms his policy would not apply to current Muslims in the U.S. during a Fox News interview.

I have Muslim friends, Greta, and they’re wonderful people. But there’s a tremendous section and cross-section of Muslims living in our country who have tremendous animosity. It does not apply to people living in the country, except we have to be vigilant.

Will participate in debate

Makes Statement0 Comments

At the Trump National Golf Club in Virginia, Trump says he will participate in the CNN debate:

When you’re leading in the polls, I think it’s too big of a risk to not do the debate. I don’t think I have the kind of leverage I’d like to have in a deal, and I don’t want to take the chance of hurting my campaign. So, I’ll do the debate…If I don’t do ’em, the problem will be: ‘Oh, he’s chicken, he’s using that as an excuse.’ Every single person doing the debate would knock the hell out of me and say I’m afraid to be there. The one thing I’m not in life is a chicken.

Would ‘take out’ terrorists’ families

Makes Statement0 Comments

In an interview with Fox & Friends, Trump says that if he were president he would order the killing of terrorists’ families.

You have to take out their families, when you get these terrorists, you have to take out their families. They care about their lives, don’t kid yourself. When they say they don’t care about their lives, you have to take out their families.

Alex Jones interview

Interview0 Comments

Trump is interviewed by Jones on The Alex Jones Show. On the New Jersey 0/11 celebrations:

People have called in, and on twitter @realDonald Trump, they’re all tweeting. I know what happened and I held my line. People wanted me to apologize, and we can’t do that. People like you and I can’t do that so easily. Now, we can do it if we are wrong. You apologize, I’d apologize if I was wrong.

On Clinton:

Clinton, she’s so corrupt, she’s so corrupt and she shouldn’t be allowed to run and frankly her greatest legacy – she was a horrible Secretary of State – …will be getting out of the email scandal. That’s what I think – it’ll be one of the greatest jobs I’ve ever seen of getting out of a scandal because General Petraeus and many others have been destroyed for doing five percent of what she did. She shouldn’t be allowed to run, but you know the recent Fox poll that just came down two days ago has me beating her head-to-head, which is very interesting, very good and beating her handily and soundly, but we have to get it right.

Davi: Trump is John Wayne

Political EndorsementWrites Article0 Comments

In an editorial on Breitbart.com, Davi compares Trump to actor John Wayne.

I cannot sit back and listen to the media continually outright defame Donald Trump. I will not remain silent any longer. I am watching the pundits and media hosts continually bash Donald Trump and call him a liar over his claim that Muslims in New Jersey were cheering and celebrating over the Towers coming down…Trump is the only one who has continually challenged the media, and that now has rubbed off on other candidates. He has empowered others. The difference is in authenticity. Trump leads the pack and sets the agenda. The others follow…If Ronald Reagan was the Gary Cooper of politics, Trump is the John Wayne. So, pilgrim, I’d rather have a President Trump who tells it like it is than a deceiver who feeds us sugarcoated poison at bedtime, only to have us wake up dead.

Trump says CNN should pay $5 million for him to appear at their upcoming debate.

CNN doesn’t treat me properly. [I might not] do the debate unless they pay me…How about we do this with CNN? I won’t do the debate unless they pay me $5 million and the money goes to wounded warriors or vets.
