Rape claim

Green, a California lawyer, appears on the Today show and alleges that Cosby drugged and sexually assaulted her in the 1970s. Green tells Lauer that Cosby, who had given her pills to combat a fever, drove her to her apartment and began:

groping me and kissing me and touching me and handling me and … taking off my clothes.

According to Green, Cosby left two $100 bills on her coffee table afterwards. Cosby’s lawyer:

Miss Green’s allegations are absolutely false. Mr. Cosby does not know the name Tamara Green or Tamara Lucier [her maiden name], and the incident she describes did not happen. The fact that she may have repeated this story to others is not corroboration.

$127,500 sexual harrassment payout

Settlement0 Comments

Tammy Brevik receives a $127,500 settlement after she sues Palmer, claiming he sexually harassed her when she worked for for him in his Minneapolis dental practice from 1999 to 2005.

I believe my sex was a factor… in that many of Dr Palmer’s comments concerned my breasts, buttocks and genitalia. I also believe that my termination was in retaliation for reporting the conduct because I was terminated the day my lawyer contacted Dr Palmer regarding the harassment.

Palmer denies any wrongdoing but agrees to the payment. He is ordered to take a jurisprudence exam and complete an ethics course.

Accused of phony budgeting

David Riemer, running against Walker for County Executive, accuses him of phony budgeting and challenges him to sign a “no surprises, no layoffs” pledge for 2004 in the wake of 280 county employees being laid off this past year. Instead of vetoing the county board’s revision of his proposed budget, Walker signs it while expressing concerns about meeting it. Riemer:

If Walker thought the budget wasn’t balanced, he should have sent it back or used his line-item veto power to alter it. This isn’t leadership, this is showmanship.
