Chico, the current chairman of the Illinois Board of Education for Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn, endorses Mayor Rahm Emanuel for reelection. He formerly ran against Emanuel for mayor in the 2011 election, garnering 24 percent of the vote.
I have watched Rahm Emanuel make the tough calls. This is not an easy job. This is serious stuff. You cannot decide on one day, ‘Hey I’m going to be the mayor,’ start a campaign and off you go. It doesn’t work like that. It’s not right for the voters. We have to give people sincere, serious, tested candidates. That’s what we have in Mayor Rahm Emanuel.
