Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt. 2

Carter plays Bellatrix Lestrange, a powerfully dangerous and connected Death Eater close to Voldemort’s inner circle in this action film directed by David Yates based on the book by J.K. Rowling, where she must finish the establishment of Voldemort’s rule over the wizarding and muggle world as Harry Potter and his allies close in on the Dark Lord’s weaknesses. Co-starring Dan Radcliffe and Ralph Fiennes.

You tend to shoot for months and get cut out of most of the movie. But this last time I learned to stick my head very close to one of the three — you know, Emma or Daniel or Rupert. I was always saying, ‘I’m not going to be cut out this time!’ It’s self-preservation in the Potter films.

Oscar nomination

Bonham Carter is nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the 83rd Academy Awards for portraying Queen Elizabeth in The King’s Speech.

Of course I am thrilled to receive an Oscar nomination. As my three-year-old daughter said ‘Yay!’ I couldn’t put it any better myself.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1

Bonham Carter plays Bellatrix Lestrange, a dangerous and devout follower of Lord Voldemort in this drama directed by David Yates based on the book by J.K. Rowling, where she has to help her fellow Death Eaters defend Lord Voldemort while the wizarding world is divided by war. Co-starring Helen McCroy, Ralph Fiennes, and Dan Radcliffe. McCroy:

Helena and Jason and I were all sitting in the same row at the premiere of [Deathly Hallows — Part 1]. When the end credits came up, there was silence in our row because they’d cut most of our parts. Helena was like, ‘Do you want a drink?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, I want a double!’ [Laughs] But it’s not frustrating because all you care about is if it’s a good story.

Lestrange plots alongside her fellow Death Eaters and family to gain an upper hand in the imminent war looming over the wizarding world. Co-starring Helen McCroy, Ralph Fiennes, and Dan Radcliffe

I loved my [fake] teeth! I kept them because they’re not going to fit anybody else. I keep them in a blue plastic thing in the bathroom and bring them out when I miss [Bellatrix].
