Suddenly my golden retriever came running out of the bedroom yelping like crazy. I went running in and there right in front of me walking from the screen door that he had come through, was a bear headed for the crib where my grandson. I was like, what do I do? I don’t know where my gun is. I opened my bathrobe and I went ‘raaaaa!’

The fact that I made it and I’m all in one piece Fonda, 75. You know a couple years ago I got breast cancer, and that was a good test, because I always said I’m not afraid of dying, and I wasn’t.

Fonda reminisces about her up bringing with famous parents and the lost of her mother. She focuses on how she over came her insecurities and became the woman she is today.

Harper’s Bazaar interview

Fonda gives an interview to Harper’s Bazaar Magazine about her age defying sense of fashion.

I’m vain. My arms are thin, but I’m vain about loose flesh. And so I’m careful that what I wear will show off my best parts, which are my waist and my butt. I have people in my life who will say, Honey, you’re trying too hard. I like being saucy, but I’m 73 and a half. I’m still trying to find my way between matronly and coltishness. Colt, not cult: C-O-L-T.

The moving day was the first day that I was actually in front of a camera after 15 years, which was the costume and make-up test that everybody does. Before the camera rolled for the first test, Robert Luketic just got everybody quiet and said, “Welcome back Ms. Fonda,” and I cried I was so moved.

O Magazine interview

Fonda talks about her former husband Turner:

In some ways, he’s like my father, but he’s not dour. He’s full of life and funny, in fact, he’s a riot. And I tend to be overly serious, because I’m my father’s daughter. So it was wonderful for me to be with somebody lighthearted, well, Ted’s not really lighthearted, he’s deep, someone who gets that much of a kick out of life.
