Jason Biggs is an American actor born in 1978 in Pompton Plains, New Jersey. He gained popularity for his portrayal of Jim Levenstein in the American Pie movie franchise. Biggs has also been featured in films such as Loser, Camp Stories, Saving Silverman, Guy X, Wedding Daze, and Over Her Dead Body. He won a Young Hollywood Award for Best Ensemble in 2000 as well as a MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss in 2002. He is married to actress Jenny Mollen and the couple has one son.

Biggs discusses his role in the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black in this interview for PBS.

You know, before anyone has watched this show, I think it’s safe to say for the most part there’s a stigma associated with prisoners, you know. So it’s hard to, you know, relate, certainly. So what I think has been so incredibly captivating, certainly for me, you know, I’ve watched those prison scenes and I watch these characters. And part of it is the diversity of the cast as well and these amazingly beautiful, diverse women characters that we have in there.

Biggs discusses starring in the show Orange Is The New Black:

I heard from my agent that Jenji Kohan [creator of Weeds] was doing a new show, and that it was going to be for Netflix. Those two things, right away I was like, Oh my God, that’s super exciting! I’m a huge fan of Jenji’s and I’m really excited about Netflix and what they’re doing over there. My ears perked up and I was like, how do I get involved? So I auditioned and they brought me back to read with Taylor Schilling and we had great chemistry, and that was it.

This is a very antiquated view of roles, but I do all of the cleaning and the laundry. My wife doesn’t even know how to turn on the washing machine. She also thinks the toilet-paper fairy replaces the roll.
