Finding Neverland

Winslet plays Sylvia Llewelyn Davies, widowed mother to four young boys, in this biographical family drama directed by Marc Forster from the play by Allan Knee. During an outing to Kensington Gardens, Sylvia and her sons meet J.M. Barrie (Johnny Depp), a playwright. They form a fast friendship that inspires Barrie to write Peter Pan. Co-starring Julie Christie and Dustin Hoffman.

J. M. Barrie really came into Sylvia’s life at a time when, you know, she’d dealt with a lot. Her own husband had passed away not long before and she was left with four children to deal with all on her own. And, you know, I think that he put happiness and affection back into her world.
