Walk of Punishment

Harington appears as Jon Snow in the third episode of season three of Game of Thrones, Walk of Punishment. Ciarán Hinds plays Mance Rayder, the King-Beyond-the-Wall who has united the wildling tribes north of the Wall of Westeros. Having gained Mance’s trust, Jon marches south with the wildling army towards the Wall. They come across the scene of a battle at a castle where Jon’s Night’s Watch ranging party had been encamped. There are no human corpses, and Mance tells Jon that his former Night’s Watch brothers have been transformed into reanimated corpses by the undead White Walkers. He orders Jon to join a forward party that will scale the Wall and attack the Night’s Watch from the south.
