Sedgwick is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama at the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards for portraying Brenda Leigh Johnson on The Closer.
It is a very happy household with Kevin being nominated too. The funny thing is I forgot about the nominations and slept through it, but I think Kevin woke up a little early for them and it’s a real vote of confidence as I drive to work this morning. It’s going to be really nice to go together this year and be able to support him as he has supported me there the last four years.
Hollywood Walk of Fame
Sedgwick is presented with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for her work in the category of Television. Castmate G.W. Bailey and producer Lee Daniels serve as guest speakers at the ceremony.
The need to walk around in other’s shoes and convey the truth of other humans runs deep into the heart of me, a desire I doubt will ever be snuffed out. So honored to be among the actors on Hollywood Blvd., but memorable performances are never made alone.
