Lord Snow

Headey appears as Queen Cersei Lannister in the third episode of Game of Thrones, Lord Snow. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau plays her twin brother, Jaime Lannister. Jack Gleeson plays Prince Joffrey Baratheon, Cersei’s son. In King’s Landing, Joffrey and Cersei discuss the rivalry between the Lannister and Stark noble families. Cersei tells Joffrey that when he is king, noone will be able to stand against his family, but that he must also realize his opponents’ strengths. As Joffrey has been betrothed to Sansa, the oldest Stark daughter, Cersei advises him to be kinder to avoid trouble. The court learns that Bran, the Stark family’s second son, has regained consciousness. Cersei worries that her and Jaime’s role in the fall that injured Bran will be revealed, but Jaime says that if so, he will go to war until anyone who opposes the Lannisters is dead.
