The Pointy End

Headey appears as Queen Cersei Lannister in the eighth episode of Game of Thrones, The Pointy End. With King Robert Baratheon dead and Hand of the King Lord Eddard Stark imprisoned, Cersei is Queen Regent. She persuades Lord Eddard’s daughter, Sansa Stark, to write to the Stark family and urge them to pledge allegiance to her son, King Joffrey Baratheon. With the power she now holds, Cersei promotes her twin brother Jaime Lannister to Lord Commander of the kingsguard.
