Home Alone

Culkin lands the lead role as Kevin McCallister in Home Alone.  The movie is about an American family who takes a Christmas vacation to Paris, but forgets the eight-year-old child, Kevin, at home alone. Culkin beats-out over 200 other actors for the role. Co-starring Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, John Heard, and Catherine O’Hara.

I kind of had a blast. I mean, it’s one of these things also overall that like, you know, you don’t really like watching yourself, like you hear your own voice on your message machine, and you’re like, I don’t sound like that. It’s the same thing. It’s I don’t look like that, I don’t sound like that.

But at the same time, it was — it was fun. I mean, I kind of just — it was just a part of who I was. Like I said, I almost didn’t know any better.
