Wins Tony

Lane wins second Tony Award for Best Actor (Musical) for portraying Max Bialystock in The Producers at the 55th Annual Tony Awards, over his co-nominee and co-star, Matthew Broderick. Lane brings Broderick to the stage to accept the award.

Lane also pays tribute to Zero Mostel, calling him “the real Max Bialystock”.
