Coster-Waldau appears as Jaime Lannister in the series premiere of Game of Thrones, Winter is Coming. Lena Headey plays his twin sister, Queen Cersei Lannister. Isaac Hempstead-Wright plays Bran, the second son of the Stark noble family. In King’s Landing, Jaime and Cersei watch the body of Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, being prepared for burial after his mysterious death. Cersei worries that before he died, Jon learned a secret she and Jaime share. Jaime assures her that if he did know, he told noone, or they would both already be dead. The royal party travels north to the Stark stronghold Winterfell, where King Robert Baratheon plans to appoint his friend and advisor Lord Eddard Stark as Hand. As Bran climbs one of Winterfell’s towers, he hears noises from a disused chamber. Looking through the window, he sees Cersei and Jaime engaged in incestuous sex. Realizing they have been seen, Jaime pulls Bran into the window and questions him on his age. Realizing that the 10-year-old Bran is old enough to understand what he saw, Jaime pushes him from the window.
