Real beauty is quiet. Especially in this town, it’s just so hard not to say, Oh, I need to look like that, No, be a good person, be a good mom, do a good job with the lunch, let someone cut in front of you who looks like they’re in a bigger hurry. The people I find most beautiful are the ones who aren’t trying.
Bedridden for five months
In an interview with People, Lavigne talks about her battle with Lyme disease that left her bedridden for five months. She says that what helped her get through the long days was knowing that she had fans who were waiting for her to get better.
I had no idea a bug bite could do this. I felt like I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t talk and I couldn’t move. I thought I was dying…There were definitely times I couldn’t shower for a full week because I could barely stand. It felt like having all your life sucked out of you…This was a wake-up call. I really just want to enjoy life from here on out.
