Sunderland 2-2 Spurs
Spurs fail to see off Sunderland as the Wearsiders twice come from behind to draw the game. Nacer Chadli’s third goal of the season, and Christian Eriksen’s first, are not enough to give Spurs the points. A solo effort from Adam Johnson and an own goal by Harry Kane give the home side an undeserved share of the spoils as they only have one shot on target in the entire game.

Tottenham draw at Sunderland but lead the game twice. Nacer Chadli scores in the second minute of the game but his goal is leveled two minutes later by Adam Johnson. The second half opens with a goal from Christian Eriksen three minutes in, but an own goal in the 82nd minute by Harry Kane denies his side the three points. Poyet:
It was an incredible game. Without a doubt the most difficult we have had. I thought we played better but the opposition was the best we have played so far.

It was a good game to watch. We played a very good first half, going forward taking chances and creating half opportunities after conceding at what was the wrong time really because we were in control of the game. It was a big effort.
Man City 3-1 Sunderland
Goals from Toure, Nasri and Navas secure the trophy for Manchester City after Borini had given the Wearsiders a shock 10th minute lead.
